What are SELF Led Self Care Groups?

Our SELF Led Self Care Groups facilitate a 12-week transformative journey using our unique framework rooted in research from behavioral science, social science, counseling strategies, and psychology. We apply this framework to all levels of your life: personal, social, and environmental. Our Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed approach integrates wisdom from spirituality and other approaches in a practical way. The result is a focus on holistic well-being, connecting inwardly with your essence, and empowering you to shine outwardly in crafting a life you love and thrive in.

These small groups are limited to 12 members and leverage the power of our unique approach to Somatic Group Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we will deepen shared experiences, witness change, gain insights from others, and heal through belonging to a supportive group.

    What this group is not:

    Self led self care is a new pace, a new frequency, a new element. It's like water. Being, instead of doing.

  • This group is not a therapy group. This is a personal growth group. This isn’t stuffy or clinical.

  • This is not an emotional regulation or PTSD group.  This is for those who are ready to connect deeply with others.

  • This group is not another training.  This isn’t about performing or getting it right.

  • This isn’t self care that’s disguised as blaming you that "you just need to take better care of yourself”

  • This isn’t trying to keep doing more of what the experts, the doctors, the books the podcasts say about self care.

  • This is about you in everyday life.

    Because there's a big difference between self care behavior and Self led self care.

    Self led self care is building a life you don’t need to escape from but a life that you thrive in.

  • Our Somatic Group IFS approach is not an individual process that gets witnessed by the group. It's a group process where we all go deeper together

  • This unique opportunity is only being offered to participants in these groups during the duration of the group. Dr. Chee's hourly rate is normally $400 US / hour.  Alanna’s hourly rate is normally $300 US / hour.  (based on availability)

    Who are the facilitators?

  • Dr. Steve Chee loves blending the best of two worlds. Science and spirituality. Ancient and modern. Eastern and Western Medicine. Traditional wisdom and IFS.

  • He is Quadruple Board Certified (Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine) and is also a Certified IFS Therapist

  • He also served as faculty at the University of Santa Monica’s Spiritual Psychology program for 10 years where he worked with students in creating their own “radiant health & well-being program.”

  • For over 20 years he has explored the mind-body-spirit connection... this includes meditation, Spiritual Psychology, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Mind Body Medicine, Energy Medicine and IFS. He is a trained yoga teacher and received authorization from a qi gung master to be a qi gung instructor.

  • Following his own experience with burnout, he discovered one of his greatest joys in life is witnessing others come together in groups to heal, grow, and shine!

  • Alanna Arthur-Chee, M.A. is a seasoned Life Coach, Spiritual Counselor, and Group Facilitator, pioneering soulful journeys for clients since 2003. 

  • With over 35 years dedicated to personal growth and healing, her clients see her as a beacon of transformative guidance and support. Alanna's expertise and compassionate leadership, enriched by Spiritual Psychology and Internal Family Systems (IFS), extends globally, touching diverse lives, across diverse backgrounds including stay at home parents, healthcare professionals, award winning authors, actors and directors, and entertainment executives from Disney and Paramount.

  • Alanna's academic background forms the bedrock of her empowering approach. She holds a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health, and Healing, IFS Level 1 Training, Soul-Centered Professional Coaching certification, Soul-Centered Facilitation certification, Master Certification in Intuition Medicine®, amongst other training and certifications. She also served as faculty at the University of Santa Monica, facilitating programs in Spiritual Psychology, for over seven years.

    I'm going to miss a group, do you still recommend I participate? Can I get a recording of the group?

    The groups are highly experiential and while we don't recommend missing a group, we know that life sometimes has other plans. In past groups, we have shared a recording of the group as long as the participants present give consent to have it shared.
