Hi, I'm Dr. Steve Chee. I'm excited to share with you what I have learned about how to embody Self energy!
Following my own kundalini awakening over 20 years ago, I've been looking to answer, where does Self energy come from? How can I experience more of that flowing river within?
I've been exploring and studying the mind-body-spirit connection through meditation, yoga, qi gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, psychology, Spiritual psychology, Internal Family Systems, Somatic IFS, Sensorimotor psychotherapy, shamanism, breath-work, Intuition medicine®, and energy medicine. What I've discovered is this:
Self energy comes from the relationship between our Self and our parts. Self energy emerges from relationship. Self energy just happens because of our way of being, because of connection, and it emerges naturally from our heart.
And in these groups, we will explore the two main facets to this relationship, Self to part, and part to Self. Both can generate Self energy and we will explore both in my groups. You will get a toolbox of ways of generating Self energy:
Self to part - relationship with our parts, awareness, meditations, visualizations, mantras, affirmations, movements (qigong, yoga), as well as accessing greater Self energy fields (earth, universal heart, guides/ancestors), etc.
Part to Self - embodying parts, expressing parts through movement, speaking, creative expression, sound, etc.
I have identified key patterns that keep people from embodying Self energy. In these groups we will explore how these patterns aren't in the way, they are the way. We will explore and befriend these patterns.
These small groups, limited to 12 members, will also explore generating and embodying Self energy through listening and sharing with each other in dyads, triads, and the group. We will explore using the power of community to deepen shared experiences, witness change, get insights from others, and heal by belonging to a group.
The program includes 8 weekly online sessions, exclusive access to Dr. Chee's original content integrating IFS and Traditional Chinese Medicine, access to the Embodying SELF Love Online Program, 2 individual consultations with Dr. Chee, and a supportive community.
You are already familiar with IFS, can distinguish Self vs part and identify polarities within yourself.

This isn’t trying to keep doing more of what the experts, the doctors, the books the podcasts say. This is about connecting more with what's true for you.

He is Quadruple Board Certified (Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine) and is also a Certified IFS Therapist
He also served as faculty at the University of Santa Monica’s Spiritual Psychology program for 10 years where he worked with students in creating their own “radiant health & well-being program.”
Following his own experience with burnout, he discovered one of his greatest joys in life is witnessing others come together in groups to heal, grow, and shine!

Learn and experience 3 foundational embodied Self energy practices
Learn and experience 3 different series of practices based on restorative yoga, gentle yoga, and qi gong.

Share, be inspired and support others in the group as participants explore different weekly themes
The groups are highly experiential and while we don't recommend missing a group, we know that life sometimes has other plans. In past groups, we have shared a recording of the group as long as the participants present give consent to have it shared.
While you aren’t acting as a therapist or facilitator for others, it is a space where participants may feel or express themselves deeply. It’s important to consider what time of day that would work best for you. Ideally, we would recommend a buffer before and after so you can get the most out of it and integrate the experience.
Great question! It's really about what works best for you. For some, it can be very meaningful and powerful to share an experience like this with a friend, family member or colleague. For example, one person invited a peer group of colleagues that she wanted to experience this with. For others, not knowing others but being with like-minded and like-hearted peers makes them feel safer to open up. Regardless, the groups are designed to harness the collective energy and to help everyone to connect with one another in a meaningful and supportive way.
