Are you tired of waking up feeling exhausted, no matter how long you’ve been in bed? Or maybe you lie awake for hours, tossing and turning, wondering if you’ll ever feel truly rested again. If you’ve tried different sleep aids or strategies and nothing has worked long-term, you’re not alone.
In Restoring Sleep: A Self-Led Self-Care Journey, you’ll learn how to go beyond simply managing your sleep symptoms. This is about something deeper. It’s not just about restoring your sleep—it’s about reconnecting with the deeper purpose of sleep and dreams, and tapping into the power of your Self to do so. Dreams have long been revered for their psychological insight, healing, and spiritual meaning, and your Self holds the key to unlocking these benefits and bringing balance to your sleep.
Without sleep, we lose the opportunity to dream, and with it, access to important emotional processing and inner wisdom. This program invites you to explore the connection between sleep, dreams, and emotional well-being, offering tools that can help you nurture rest, gain deeper awareness, and tap into the wisdom of your Self.
Quadruple Board Certified (Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine)
Certified IFS Therapist
... and over 20 years experience exploring the mind-body-spirit connection
Research shows that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) can be as effective as sleep medications, but many people find its rigid structure challenging to follow. While CBT-I focuses on managing symptoms, it often overlooks the deeper emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of sleep, which are essential for achieving long-term, holistic well-being.
This group offers a more expansive approach, focusing on sleep as a dynamic process that connects mind, body, and spirit. Instead of simply addressing sleep patterns, this group explores the rich, interconnected role that sleep and dreams play in your emotional, psychological, and physical health. By tapping into the guidance of your Self, you’ll learn to approach rest as a pathway to deeper renewal and insight. Healthy REM sleep and dreaming are essential for consolidating memories, processing emotions, and accessing inner wisdom. Long revered as sources of healing and transformation, dreams provide a window into your subconscious, and this program invites you to reconnect with their power and meaning.
Somatic IFS (Internal Family Systems): Learn how to identify and work with the parts of yourself that may be disrupting your sleep, whether it’s an anxious part that won’t let you rest or a part that’s trying to protect you by staying alert. Through Somatic IFS, you’ll learn how to reconnect with your Self, the inner resource that has the power to calm and renew both your mind and body. This approach also incorporates insights from Relational Intelligence, including concepts from polyvagal theory, to explore how your nervous system and attachment patterns may influence rest.
CBT-I Foundations: Understand the fundamentals of CBT-I in a flexible, personalized way, without the rigid rules that can feel overwhelming. We’ll integrate this with your Self-led approach, allowing you to make adjustments that honor your unique sleep needs.
Integrative Medicine Practices: Explore holistic tools and techniques to soothe your mind and body, promoting a more restful sleep naturally. You’ll learn how your Self can guide these practices, creating harmony between your mind, body, and emotions.
Dream Health: Learn how to tap into your dreams for psychological insight and emotional processing. Dreams aren’t just random—they can reveal important parts of your inner world, and through connection with your Self, you’ll gain access to the wisdom and healing power they offer.

This program is designed to help you explore the factors influencing your sleep and dreams, but it’s not a guarantee or cure. It provides evidenced-based tools and practices to support you in restoring balance, with your Self as the key, but individual results vary.
No! This program is for anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with sleep and dreams, whether you’ve struggled with insomnia or are simply looking to improve your overall well-being. The focus is on personal growth.
The groups are highly experiential and while we don't recommend missing a group, we know that life sometimes has other plans. In past groups, we have shared a recording of the group as long as the participants present give consent to have it shared.
Having a therapist is not required, but it's important to feel confident in your support system as we undergo this group journey together. For example, you've done therapy in the past, and feel stable now, or you have access to a therapist should the need arise. This is a personal growth group, not a therapy group. While we won't be intentionally focus on revisiting old wounds, self exploration can bring up emotions, and having access to support can be helpful.
